Directory of Curriculum Materials Centers

Compiled by The Education and Behavioral Science Section

Many institutions of higher education in the United States and Canada support their teacher education programs by developing curriculum materials centers (CMCs) which feature instructional materials representative of those found in preschool through high school (PreK-12) settings. The materials often constitute a separately maintained and housed collection, and are often adjoined by a media production facility

This directory, now in its fifth edition, lists and describes curriculum materials centers or collections at 203 institutions that responded to a questionnaire that was made available online during fall of 2000. Information given for each institution includes location, contact information, budgets, physical space, collection size, staff size, hours of operation, and other descriptive information.

This electronic edition is designed to provide easy access and to assist the user in quickly locating a CMC listing by state, by institution name, or by any other parameter that is desired.
